For those who do not recognize me, my name is Alicia Richards and I am co-anchor ABC27’s 6:00 & 11:00 p.m. newscasts and special reporter.

This year I am being honored by JDRF at the annual Gala.  Having attending the JDRF Gala since its beginning 17 years ago, I can say with certainty that JDRF is making a difference in the lives of those affected by T1D.  I have watched T1D children grow to adulthood and have heard their stories.  The daily struggle is real but the hope and perseverance of those families affected by this disease is truly inspirational.
